Mexican Dishes
Our Traditional and Authentic Mexican Dishes, Include:
Burritos – A large white tortilla rolled up around fillings such as meat, salsa, rice, beans and avocado.
Camarones – Shrimp
Chalupa – A fried tortilla spread with bean paste or ground cooked meat and topped with shredded cheese, lettuce and chopped tomato.
Chimichanga – A crisp, often deep-fried tortilla containing a spicy filling of pork and/or chicken usually served as an appetizer with sour cream, green chili sauce and melted cheese.
Enchiladas – Corn tortillas are quickly fried in oil, soaked in a sauce, filled with meat or cheese and rolled. The rolls may then be covered with additional sauce, cheese, crema or lettuce.
Fajita – Strips of spiced beef or chicken, chopped vegetables and grated cheese, wrapped in a soft tortilla and often served with sour cream.
Flan – Rich custard dessert made with condensed and evaporated milk, and covered with a soft caramel topping. Similar to crème brulee but without the crisp caramel topping.
Guacamole – Mashed avocado, often mixed with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, chilies, garlic and/or lime juice. May be served as a dip with tortilla chips or as a garnish with a meal.
Polo – Chicken
Quesadilla – Flour tortilla filled with cheese, folded over and pressed flat. Heated over a griddle until cheese melts. Other ingredients may be added to the cheese, such as mushrooms and rajas.
Taco – A corn or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling.
Tamale – Corn masa dough stuffed with meat, wrapped in a corn husk or banana leaf, and steamed.
Taquitos – A tortilla, usually corn, rolled tightly into a thin cylinder, around a filling, usually meat but can be cheese, and fried until crisp.
Tortilla – A thin round of unleavened cornmeal or wheat flour bread usually eaten hot with a topping or filling of ground meat or cheese.
